Celebrate the exhibition opening, and our dynamic city: its experimentation, its cultural diversity and its potential.

Featuring artists Robert Houle, John Scott, Carole Condé + Karl Beveridge, Colette Whiten, Colin Campbell, Lisa Steele & Kim Tomczak, Tom Sherman, Tim Whiten, Lillian Allen, Rita Letendre, Shirley Wiitasalo, Joanne Tod, The Clichettes, Arnaud Maggs, Louise Noguchi, Barbara Astman, Michael Snow, Joyce Wieland, Vera Frenkel, Richard Fung, Andy Patton, Ian Carr-Harris, Jamelie Hassan, Ron Benner, FASTWÜRMS, Andy Fabo, Jayce Salloum, Stephen Andrews and more.
Also join us for a series of new commissions and performances presented in conjunction with Toronto: Tributes + Tributaries, 1971-1989. The program reflects upon the importance of performance in Toronto’s artistic community from the 1970s to today, and echoes the exhibition’s examination of how Toronto artists have explored notions of the body, the image, self-portraiture, storytelling, and representation.

Toronto: Tributes + Tributaries, 1971-1989 is curated by Wanda Nanibush, AGO Assistant Curator of Canadian and Indigenous Art.
