Film: On The Bride’S Side says
“Why don't we have a wedding? What border policeman would ever stop a bride to check her documents?”

On a brisk October afternoon, three friends meet at a Milan train station for coffee. A young Palestinian hears them speaking Arabic, and asks them which platform the train to Sweden leaves from — a train that, to his surprise, does not exist.

What started as a joke — asylum-seekers masquerading as guests of a fictional wedding to “smuggle” their friend from Milan to Stockholm — ends up being captured on camera by director Antonio Augugliaro’s team. Watch what happens when the group treks forward on a four-day journey of 3,000 kilometres, united by a great risk and an equally great dream.
