From The Home Front To The Western Front says
Spend an afternoon at Spadina Museum, immersed in history and music.

"From the Home Front to the Western Front" is a celebration of Canadian composed music heard at home and in France during the First World War.

Inside the Austins' luxurious drawing room, folk musician Ian Bell will be performing a lively and touching mixture of music - some familiar and some not so.

The program features patriotic ditties, marching songs, instrumental selections and sentimental favourites played on piano, concertina, banjo, button accordion and guitar. The show includes the use of orginal sheet music arrangements, and a number of actual period instruments, including Mary Austin's Steinway piano.
