Girls' Art League is launching a new exhibition series at The Fountain! Every three months we will be hosting one of our favourite Toronto artists with an installation of their work and an artist talk. Come by, have a drink and hang out with us!

This series offers us a chance to show you so many of the amazing women artists working in Toronto today. The artists will deliver a talk and answer questions about their work in a low-pressure, fun environment.

Our first exhibiting artist is Brynn Higgins Stirrup!

Brynn is a multidisciplinary artist working and living in Toronto ON. Taking an interdisciplinary approach to her practice, she is informed by a broad range of subjects from symbolic logic to spirituality. Concerned with the tensions between concept and craft, the mind and making; her current practice focuses on labour-based drawing, sculptural and print-making practices.

Brynn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Painting and Sculpture from Queen’s University. During which time she also studied studio arts at Monash University in Melbourne Australia and art history and philosophy at the Bader International Study Centre in England. This past year she took part in residencies at YYZ Artist’s Outlet and the Banff Centre for the Arts. She has exhibited across Canada in artist run spaces and galleries such as Union Gallery, Forest City Gallery and YYZ Artist’s Outlet. This past summer Brynn completed a curatorial internship at Typology Projects.
