What’s this all about?

Experience the traditional Japanese paper folding practice of Origami. Traditional origami uses a square sheet of paper and creates beautiful shapes without the use of glue or scissors. However, contemporary folding techniques include tape, glue, and even scissors. No matter what tools we use, the fundamental idea of folding paper is always used in creating amazing origami forms. Join us in exploring this ancient paper folding practice and begin your own adventure of learning the complex and beautiful art of Origami.

What will we cover?

This workshop will introduce you to the basic folds and instructions that origami instructions use. We use the “fold and follow” teaching style so everybody can fold together with hands on help from the instructor. There will be a handful of forms prepared for the workshop ranging from simple and basic to fun but mildly challenging.

Not to worry if you do not remember all the steps or have incomplete forms, we provide print out instructions for all the workshop forms so you can take it home, practice and share with family and friends!

Who will be teaching?

Angel Ho is an emerging designer who dabbles in innovatively fusing material and technique. Her love for origami and its complexity inspires her to share the amazing opportunities the art of paper folding can offer.
