Billy Moon: Things haven’t been the easiest for Billy Moon. Coming back from his first East Coast tour, he found himself in a hospital in rural Quebec when their car flipped twice after getting hit by a truck. By some Satanic miracle, everyone walked away unharmed, but there was still the nagging doubt that this was the end of music for Moon. Thankfully, one year later he’s come back with a new EP and an energetic live show that’s sure to make you realize that we’re all going to die but hey, maybe that’s ok.

Fresh Snow: With the group appearing on the cover of NOW Magazine’s Christmas issue, and their POLARIS Long-Listed debut LP “I” making it onto 2013 best-of lists from NOW, The GRID, BlogTO, Torontoist, the Toronto Star, and a raft of indie blogs, Fresh Snow’s new directions in instrumental music are clearly something that the critics agree on.

Co/ntry: CO/NTRY is an adult-contemporary post-punk duo comprised of Newfoundland-born/Montreal-based artists Beaver Sheppard and David Whitten. The band has received a host of ostensibly favourable reactions from the press. Brooklyn Vegan described them as “clearly not giving a fuck” while Complex Magazine called them Montreal’s best band/art project. The readers of these content platforms are entirely free to adopt these opinions as their own. Their 2nd album is out April 14, 2017 via Fantôme Records.

WHOOP-Szo: True-psyche, post-metal, sludge, folk, all mixed into one wild package
