Why would anyone want to follow a religion that views women as second rate citizens? The Bible and Christianity have been used at times to discourage or even deprive women of equality, leadership and status in both sacred and secular society. Is this the true message of the God behind the faith, or possibly is there a reason for a second look?


MICHELLE TEPPER is an itinerant speaker with RZIM in the US, teaching worldwide on a number of subjects, including the problem of pain, God’s character, sex, relationships, and love.

Before moving back to home to the United States, Michelle was based in Oxford. She studied theology at the University of Oxford, was a guest lecturer at the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics, and spoke overseas as a part of the RZIM European team Prior to joining the RZIM staff, Michelle worked for six years as the University Chaplain for St. Aldate’s—a thriving, historic, student friendly church located in the heart of Oxford. While at Oxford, Michelle met and married her husband there. Michelle and her husband, Peter, live in Florida with their daughter, Sophia.


IVY TYSON has degrees in history and anthropology from the University of Colorado and studied theology at Oxford University. She spent five years teaching and coaching public speaking and debate for students of all ages. She now facilitates global discussions on the relevance and value of the Christian worldview at RZIM Academy (a cutting-edge online learning platform), and participates in thoughtful university events around the world. As a writer she has also been involved in fiction, theater, television, and amateur film productions. She lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her mother, too many books, and a cat.

LOGAN GATES recently received his Masters from the University of Oxford. Topics he regularly speaks on include “Has science buried God?,” “Aren’t all religions basically the same?” and “If God, why suffering?” Previously based in Central America with an NGO, Logan speaks Spanish and French and travels widely around the world as a speaker with RZIM. Logan’s passion is to help others see the beauty of a personal relationship with Jesus by responding to the toughest questions people ask about the Christian faith.
