A lipstick smear from the west coast of Canada who mixes freak rock balladry, squalling guitar, and subtle hints of jazz. De Courcy will be joined by a unique collaboration of Painted Fruits for the duration of this tour to create a spectacle not seen before on this planet. Fusing music and theatre, JDC creates his own world of freak-rock and psych-cabaret expressions by employing an array of ego and persona roles. Creative, far-out and exploratory, he is in a sense, discovering this thing into existence.

PAINTED FRUIT

A pop group from Victoria BC into the likes of post-punk gang vocals, fucked guitar jazz, chin ups and juggling soccer balls. They will be releasing a split 7 inch with Calgary band Smoke Eaters in April 2016, and a tour-only cassette EP (followed by a second full-length). Their first full-length release, entitled Fruit Salad was released as a run of 300 cassettes on Shake! Records and featured a collection of songs written during the band’s conception. They have been steadily gaining exposure in the western Canadian music scene by playing shows and picking up media coverage including college radio play across Canada.
