Sistrum Music is back with an intimate summer affair serving up a first-rate night of music that will host two special Toronto debuts! For this evening, our imports arriving from both San Francisco and New York are bringing in over 40 years of music experience to the booth for the night. Both artists have had long standing love affair with electronic music that has seen successful efforts flourish over the years. We’re truly excited to have them playing for us in Toronto. Let’s meet our selectors for the night:

Mark Slee (Manjumasi, listed Bookings, The Cityfox Experience)
Terron Darby (Playdate New York)
Sam Zenn

Over the course of an obsession with dance music for more than 15 years, Listed Productions’s Mark Slee has nurtured a taste for deep house that integrates dreamy textures and smooth whimsical grooves into sets that are ripe with a sense of purpose and soul.

Slee is a man known to wear many creative hats and his efforts in music push far beyond the DJ booth. To his credit Mark Slee also hosts Heron Sound, a successful monthly mix show on Proton Radio and just recently launched a recording label by the name of Manjumasi, a collaboration with long-time partner in crime, atish.

Mark has performed in regions all over, from Cape Town to Playa Del Carmen, to audiences at Robot Heart as well as the Cityfox NY series in New York City. On the home front, his penchant for diverse and well-crafted sets sees him regularly playing San Francisco’s top clubs, playing alongside DJs like Danny Tenaglia, Danny Howells, Lee Burridge, Guy Gerber, Mathew Dekay, Vincenzo, Andre Lodemann, and Hector.
