October Harvest Community Meal: Beef & Veggie Momos says
For our October Community Meal, Sonam Yangzom and Richen Yangzom will share their bountiful harvest from the Milky Way Gardens, a piece of land in Parkdale that has been donated to the Parkdale Neighbourhood Land Trust and Greenest City by John Greyson and Stephen Andrews.

Together with Sonam and Richen, Tish Camal, Monique Kelemen, and Ayal Dinner (from the Greenest City) will share delicious warm momos (a type of Tibetan dumplings), noodles, salad, homemade hot sauce, tapioca coconut pudding, and stories behind the food being served.

Please join us for this special Harvest Community Meal as our community comes together to celebrate the spirit of generosity!

Beef and Vegetable momos
Homemade hot sauce (Red chilies, mint, garlic, sunflower seed, black pepper, ginger, salt)
Tapioca coconut pudding

Momos are a celebrated food in Tibetan Culture. They resemble dumplings, to a certain degree, but with a unique taste and flavour that are particular to the Tibetan way of life. Where possible, these momos are made with local produce and organic ingredients.

The beef is grass fed cattle sourced from Green Gate Farms. The vegetables (potatoes, carrots, beans, kale, celery, onion) are all sourced from farmers markets, kitchen gardens at Wychwood Barn, and Parkdale Gardens. A mix of whole grain and spelt flour are used for the wrapper.

$5 a plate.
Tuesday, October 4 at 1:00pm
The Theatre Centre Café/Bar, 1115 Queen St W.

Food is first-come, first-served, so make sure to arrive on time to avoid disappointment.

The Community Meals are generously supported by Curated Properties and The Metcalf Foundation.
