ART l LET says
On Saturday, May 28th, we bring the beat, set the vibe and invite you to bring your curiosity and imagination to play with us at Artlet's Vinyl Edition. For this special edition, we’re changing the tune. In addition to standard canvasses and sketchpads, we’ll be rounding up old vinyl records to paint, sketch and break apart. Get ready to remix, rework and remake with us.

Instead of your average gallery visit or making art solo, you’ll experience the joy and play of having your ideas come to life, creating your own reworked and reimagined art piece. All supplies—paint, pencils, brushes, markers and more—will be provided. Be prepared to get messy, make mistakes and then make some magic at the same time.

Expect a comfortable ‘meet-up’ style environment for creating and chillin, where you can meet and connect with new people, and deepen existing bonds with your bests. Whether you’ve had a recent experience making art, or don’t consider yourself to be 'creative' at all, set aside the past-based views and come see what you can create.

To keep up the good mood and great vibes, we’ll have a live DJ and performers. Holistic snacks and refreshments from local vendors will be provided. Additionally, the event will be hosted in the midst of Nuvango’s double hitter exhibit. The space will be decorated in the photographic stylings of Jake Sherman with a featured installation from Sean Phillips’ PHONO+GRAPHIC, a gallery showing of vinyl album art created by comic book professionals.
