The event creator says
Calling all music noobs, aspiring musicians, or beginner musicians who want to maybe learn a thing or two! Queering Gear's first workshop is happening and it is geared towards you!

Music can be complicated and messy for many people who aren't often encouraged to play and for people who do not often find themselves represented in the music they like to listen to.

This workshops aims to provide a foundation in what music gear is, how to use it, and how to craft your tone, specifically for guitar and bass. This workshop will not be teaching you how to play the instrument but rather providing the tools for you to sculpt your instruments sound. This first workshops hopes to answer the questions of:
-what is an amp and how does it work?
-what are the parts of a guitar and what do they do?
-what pedals are and why we use them
-how to navigate aquiring the gear you need
-how to combine this knowledge into sounding the way you want to sound
