For many of us, liberal democracy is not a goal - it oppresses us every day. In the context of the ongoing and current conversation about democracy in Canada, we will be discussing critiques of liberal democracy.

Join Black Lives Matter - Toronto, No One Is Illegal, the Workers Action Centre, the CFS National Aboriginal Caucus and Students for Justice in Palestine (UTSC) for a discussion on resistance to the settler colonial state of Canada. This talk will feature themes of racism, migrant justice, racialization of labour, anti-black and anti-indigenous racism, citizenship, bill C-51 and C-24, and Islamophobia.

Featuring:
Deena Ladd from Worker's Action Centre
Tracey Mann from No One Is Illegal
Alexandria Williams from Black Lives Matter - Toronto
Sabrine Azraq from Students for Justice in Palestine (UTSC)
Coty Zachariah from CFS National Aboriginal Caucus
