Secret Society Sessions Episode 020 W/ Jacobus & Sadeq says

Jacobus is known for taking the sound and mood to a place that’s hard to escape from. Always aware of what’s happening around him, it’s not rare to see the lights come on at the end of the night with the crowd wanting more. In his early days Jacobus maintained a long residency at one of the only bars offering deep house in the city of Kingston. By 2007 he had made a move to Toronto and now brings a refreshed sound to his old deep house roots. With recent gigs at Wildflower, Parlour, Escobar and the Spoke rooftop, it’s easy to see and hear why the momentum isn’t slowing down.

Sadeq has been DJing for over 20 years in various international clubs/bars and has been deeply involved in running a College Radio Station. Currently he’s a member of Techfui, a group promoting events in Dubai, Beirut, Amsterdam and Toronto, also releasing records. He recently released his first EP featuring Pawas.
His most recent highlights include opening for Ripperton on Kajama, Pablo Bolivar at Cabal and Yokoo at Summerdaze.

This is more than a radio show… it is a social collective for people at play. We invite you for after work drinks, food and games – Pacific Junction Hotel features many amenities including Locally Brewed Beer, an Outdoor Patio, Table Tennis, Pool, Foosball, Arcade Classics and the only real Ice Hockey table in the city!

Our goal is to provide the atmosphere for a regular gathering that revolves around our love for music and the celebration of getting over the hump of the week. Come early, spend a few hours with your friends listening to artistically curated sounds and go home happy, proving that a night out does not necessarily have to be followed by a day in.

See you there.
