Aquatic Mind is not just an artist name but also an extension of Nima Alamouti’s character and mindset. Having lived in a few different continents before moving to Canada, Nima is a citizen of the world, and he doesn’t shy away from the influences he’s picked up along the way and he expresses them in his music. That aquatic mind of his is very much alive and in touch with his senses; He likes to hum melodies, caw with the crows, and drum to the heartbeats of his fellow earthlings. Nima has had years of musical training in folk music and drums in his upbringing and now that his attention has shifted more into electronic music, you can still trace all the mystery and storytelling qualities that come from his folk and world music background. A timeless blend of melodies and harmonies, while keeping the rhythm and groove alive, Nima paints a dreamy picture filled with emotions, and he does it masterfully.
