We’ve heard and learned HIStory…

What is HERstory?

Brothers and Sisters,

For far too long, patriarchy has suffocated the creative expression of talented women and while we have made great strides, its effect is still felt today.

The intention of this event is to offer an opportunity to heal this collective wound by sharing prayers through performance arts.

Join us on this celebration of the Divine Feminine's return in the co-creation of our culture and story!

He is verbal, analytical, sequential.

She is visual, spatial, and simultaneous.

When he was out hunting,

What was she weaving, and how did she feel?

When he was out clearing the way, enterprising,

Why did she sink into the background,

Become un-noticed and un-spoken?

It is time for the Queen’s return,

For the Priestess, the Goddess,

It is time for Her,

For the woman from behind the scenes,

To reappear.

This evening we open our hearts,

We still our minds,

And hold space for HERstory.

Through artistry,

We women weave

Poetry, dance, and song…

We women receive,

The loving tributes and gifts from the divine masculine.

With eyes wide open,

We witness, listen,

And love,

All of Her.

Calling female performers:

Fellow warriorresses,

with short and long tresses:

The stage is yours.

If you have a piece you would like to share to honour the Divine Feminine, please come forward :)

This evening is open to all forms of artistry: dance, song, poetry, spoken word, visual delights - and more. Please contact Clarity Bartleet, Jessica Cheung or Li Samadhi Eyal if you’d like to share your gifts with the community... Or just come out with intentions to be heard ♡
