Who should attend?
This retreat was designed as the foundation for a series of retreats traditionally undergone by Tibetan doctors so they could unite their spiritual and medical practice. As such it is ideally suited to healers or spiritual practitioners. However, all are welcome so long as they are physically able and old enough to remain focused for three hours at a time.

What do we do in a practice session?
Ngöndro (Tib. ན་འ ་) is a foundation practice of refuge, bodhichitta, prostrations, mandala offering, circumambulation, Vajrasattva purification, and Kusali. It is associated with the development of special powers of omniscience and clairvoyance which helps practitioners become greater healers. Each session will include: -Correct posture and breath based meditation; -Refuge, Bodhichitta: chants to develop our aspiration and open our hearts; -101 Prostrations: a moving meditation to build a connection with the medicine sages, reduce our egos and prepare us for later practices; -Mandala offering: visualization, mudra and chanting practice to increase merit and reduce scarcity mindset; - Circumambulation: walking meditation while reciting the Medicine Buddha mantra; - Vajrasattva: meditation to purify our illnesses, karma and mind-streams; -Kusali: visualization practice to reduce ego, attachment and karmic debts; - Dedication of merit: so all beings may be enlightened and free of dis-ease. When practiced correctly, all of these practices work to transform our body, energy system and mind towards their ideal state.
