Meet at the Gladstone Hotel. Get a ride up to the McMichael. Be back for bedtime.

The McMichael is thrilled to have Canadian indie-pop legends The Hidden Cameras play an acoustic concert to launch their new album, Home On Native Land. The album was written and recorded over ten years by front man Joel Gibb with friends, bandmates and icons including Rufus Wainwright, Feist, Neil Tennant, Bahamas, Ron Sexsmith and Mary Margaret O’Hara. The album makes new offers to the Canadiana genre with infectious melodies and wild hymns, overarched by Gibbs’ honeyed vocals oozing with hopefulness, joy and sorrow. An intimate gallery venue surrounded by iconic Canadian art and a 100 acre forest is the perfect place to launch this new anthem to the nation.

Plus: Thirteen galleries with floor-to-ceiling windows. Five special exhibitions, plus a reframing of the permanent collection. 100 acres of forested land along the Humber River Valley. Hiking Trails. The Sculpture Garden. Guided tours. Bring a picnic basket or grab a bite and a drink at the on-site restaurant.

$45 for round-trip, admission, and concert.
