The sandwich, while seemingly simple, is a surprisingly complex and controversial subject. What defines a sandwich? Is a sandwich any object between two other, similar objects? Must it be contained within two pieces of bread? Does it have to be edible? Does it have to be handheld? Do sandwiches even exist? Through art, conversations and tastings we will explore these questions and more to precisely define what makes a sandwich.

The Sandwich Show will open the evening of September 8th and be followed by a weekend of sandwich related events, including a sandwich symposium, a sandwich walking tour of Kensington market, sandwich-based performances, and a sandwich making competition (think you've got what it takes to win? Send us an email to become a contender!).

*WARNING* There will be peanut butter at this show as well as other potential food allergens.
