The Split says
"The Cameron House has become one of our favourite venues to play in Toronto. THE SPLIT's June concert sold out, we had such a good time performing with the crowd there, that we were thrilled to be invited back to play The Cameron House again this summer. Thank you, Toronto, for loving the music." - Matthew Chaffey

THE SPLIT was formed by Ottawa brothers and bandmates Matthew and Curtis Chaffey. Their performance has been called “a triumph and strong declaration of musical intent,” by the Ottawa Citizen. Inspired by the golden age of soul rock and funk music from the 1960's and 70's, Matthew Chaffey's intense smoky vocals and Curtis Chaffey's fiery guitar is joined by a cast of talent. THE SPLIT'S popular 7-piece ensemble performs an electronic styled revival that is atmospheric and highly danceable.

THE SPLIT's first EP “Can’t Get Enough” was released by Label Records in 2014. The album recorded with Ken Friesen (The Tragically Hip, Great Big Sea, Hawksley Workman) and Phillip Victor Bova (Feist, Bahamas) features horn lines by the legendary Texas Horns (Austin, TX), and their single "I Can't Stand It" has climbed into the Top 30 charts on radio across Canada.
