March for Science Toronto says
The March for Science is a celebration of our passion for science and a call to support and safeguard the scientific community. Recent policy changes have caused heightened worry among scientists, and the incredible and immediate outpouring of support has made clear that these concerns are also shared by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. The mischaracterization of science as a partisan issue, which has given policymakers permission to reject overwhelming evidence, is a critical and urgent matter. It is time for people who support scientific research and evidence-based policies to take a public stand and be counted.

Our speaker list is updated and available at

Here's a map:

We aim to keep this an accessible march, however we have a very limited budget. If you feel you will be unable to complete the march with us, we encourage you to meet us at Queen's Park for the rally portion of the event! We are hoping to film the event and post it online at the earliest opportunity.

Support the March!

To help cover expenses, such as insurance and equipment rentals, we sold t-shirts using a fundraising site called Tees for the People. Thank you to all who contributed!

All funds raised go towards March expenses, with any remaining funding to be donated to local science charity Visions of Science -
