Utsc Queer Orientation Planning Meeting says
The 2016 Queer Orientation week is coming up and this year, QO is celebrating its 10th anniversary!

Queer Orientation (QO) is an annual week of LGBTQ-focused programming across all three campuses of U of T during the month of September. All U of T departments/ organizations/ clubs are invited to host their own Queer Orientation event and/ or collaborate with one another on events.

This year, the tentative dates for Queer Orientation are Thursday, September 22nd to Friday, September 30th, 2016. That gives us a full eight days to plan some great LGBTQ-focused events on all three campuses!

In preparation for this much anticipated series of events, all staff, students and faculty interested in helping to plan are welcome to attend the first Queer Orientation meeting of the year on their campus. This initial meeting will take place at St. George, UTSC and UTM. This event page is for the UTSC QO Planning Meeting.

Clubs or departments that plan on hosting QO events are encouraged to select one or two members of their group to sit on the Queer Orientation planning committee, though this is not mandatory.

A member from each organization will help to:
- Provide vision and support to the overall QO programming
- Liaise with their group’s executive and general members to get ideas regarding QO programming
- Support the promotions and outreach for QO programming with their members
- Attend QO planning meetings (July – September)

During the first planning meeting, members will be able to learn about the history of Queer Orientation and connect with different campus groups as we share our plans for and vision of this year’s QO week.

If you are unsure about whether or not your group will be participating, or if you would like to help out with Queer Orientation and you are not a part of a group, you are welcome to attend these QO meetings or contact sgdo@utoronto.ca for more information.
