“Val-Inc blends traditional-sounding music from Haiti with synthesized sounds and instruments to develop a genre she calls “Afro-Electronica.” – New York Times

Val-Inc is Val Jeanty, recording engineer and one-time Norah Jones band member. She describes herself as evoking “the musical esoteric realms of the creative subconscious by incorporating her African Haitian musical traditions into the present and beyond, combining acoustics with electronics and the archaic with the postmodern”. Her audiovisual installations have been showcased at the Whitney Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Academy of Music and throughout Europe.

Witch Prophet aka Ayo Leilani is a queer, Toronto-based Ethiopian/Eritreansinger/songwriter. She is the Founder and Co-Director of Toronto-based music and multimedia collective 88 Days Of Fortune and a member of feminist-based electro dub hop group, Above Top Secret. Witch Prophet is an incantorial, dramatic and fiercely rhythmic project whose album is due in the first half of 2016.

MO:delic aka Pursuit Grooves handles visuals for the evening with a mixture of photography and illustration in her projections.
