PIO Centre for Drawing says
A close cousin of Drawing, Embroidery is a magnificent complex art form where you "draw" with thread into fabric.
At Pio! we are now offering an Embroidery workshop for Beginners, in which you will learn:

- How to draw on fabric
- A minimum of 5 stitches and its variants (cross-stitch, satin stitch, running stitch, feather stitch, isolé stitch)
- How to represent different textures using different stitches
- Patience (how much we love repetitive actions that bring so much relaxation)

At the end of the workshop, you will be bringing home Two Masterpieces designed and embroidered by you.

Our dear friend Dan will be guiding you through the extraordinary world of embroidery art. Daniel was born with a needle in hand and shortly thereafter fabricated himself a tasteful umbilical belt. A hand-sewing lifestylist, he has led embroidery workshops in Toronto and Montreal for years. He also enjoys screen printing, graphic design, sharpie couture and deadly strong coffee.
