SPEAKER:

DAN MACDONALD was born in Montreal. An avid sports fan, he dreamed of playing professional sports until he looked in the mirror. He graduated from McGill University in ’84, and was accepted into law school at Western. It was there, in his first year, that he became a Christian.

After law school, he practiced law for several years and felt the call to Christian ministry in 1990. He became a youth pastor and then a campus ministry worker for the next decade. In 2000, feeling called to the pastorate, and headed to Florida for graduate school. He graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary, Orlando, in 2002.

Dan is the pastor of a thriving downtown church called Grace Toronto (www.gracetoronto.ca). Dan is happily married to Sue. They have one daughter, Shaila Grace.

Q & A PANELISTS:

PETER KUPISZ received his MA in the History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Toronto and also an MA in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from Biola University. While living in South Korea he started a popular Facebook page called Mars Summit which now has a sister site called Mars Valley – Canadian Students. He enjoys studying a variety of issues and interacting with people of many different religions and worldviews. Having recently joined Power to Change staff, his vision is to combine social media interaction with real-life student discussions on the big questions.

NATHAN BETTS: A native of Toronto, Nathan Betts studied at Oxford and received his MA from Kings College, University of London. He is a thinker, speaker, and writer with RZIM. He frequently speaks on university campuses across the US and Canada. Nathan also co-wrote and co-presented RZIM’s Short Answers to Big Questions online video series. He is an avid percussionist and a keen baseball fan. Nathan and his wife, Brittany, live near Seattle, WA, with their two young children.
