*ABOUT YIN and REIKI*

Yin yoga is a slow, gentle practice, incorporating long holds to promote hydration and release in the body's connective tissue. Reiki is an energetic healing technique from Japan, centered around simple, safe techniques that can have profound effects on the physical, emotional and spiritual body. In combination, this workshop offers servers a space to pay attention to the needs of their own minds and bodies in a setting tailored to their experience. Allow this practice to unwind patterns of repeated strain, and discover where you have room to let go.

**ABOUT YOUR HOSTS**

Samantha:
Samantha is a Holistic Wellness Professional specializing in The Art of Slowing Down. Living in a time of constant chaos and busyness, Samantha explores what it truly means to slow down, de-stress and find your joy in life again. Her philosophy is that living a busy life is OK so long as you take some time to step away from things (especially your phone!) and connect back to you. She uses various modalities including yoga, mindfulness and coaching to help restore, rejuvenate and relax the mind, body and spirit. Samantha also teaches private yoga classes in the styles of gentle hatha, restorative, yin and yoga nidra.

Kira:
As a reiki practitioner and long time server, Kira brings an acute awareness to this practice. Having spent the last decade exploring practices of yoga, breath, and spirit, she has learned the deep value of paying attention. Receiving her reiki 2 certification has been an ever evolving gift that she is honored to bring to others. With a deep understanding of the physical and emotional demands of the service industry, she welcomes others to acknowledge this work as fundamental. Kira sees now as the time to congratulate your whole being on jobs well done, and is thrilled to invite her peers into healing. Having recently completed yin yoga training, she joyfully supports the class with both assists and reiki.
