How’s that New Year’s resolution to save money going? If you’re trying to build up some cash, you’ve likely spent January batch-cooking or trying to figure out what sort of concoctions can be made out of fridge leftovers. There probably hasn’t been much in the way of meals out.

But if you fancy a Friday treat without breaking the bank, Ikea has your back. Once a week for the next seven months, the Swedish superstore is offering half price deals on loads of its (already pretty affordable) meals across all UK stores

And let us tell you, these are some wild bargains. ‘Swe-Dish Fridays’, as they’ve been named, will see the brand’s iconic meatballs (or plant-based alternative) with mashed potatoes, peas, cream sauce and lingonberry jamon on sale for just £2.45 for eight pieces. You can get fish and chips for just £3.45 and the small cooked breakfast will available for the even lower price of £1.35.

If you need to keep the kids happy after the big furniture shop, you can get them pasta and tomato sauce for a mere 45p.

Don’t get too ahead of yourselves just yet, though. The deal is exclusively available to members of Ikea Family (which is completely free to join), so make sure you’ve signed up to that here first
