There is an 80 percent chance that a spell of bad weather that has been circulating over the southern Gulf of Mexico will turn into a tropical cyclone directed towards the United States in the upcoming 48 hours. Joy.

The National Hurricane Center predicts that a tropical storm warning could be issued later today covering parts of the Gulf Coast between Texas and the western Florida Panhandle. What does that mean? People in the Florida Keys and central and eastern parts of the US Gulf Coast should expect tons of rain in the next couple of days.

Fun fact: The name given to the weather disturbance is Invest 93L. In case you were wondering, "invests are essentially weather disturbances in the tropics that merit further observation—"according to the Sun Sentinel.

Let's look at the positive side of this weather nightmare: You can finally get through that Netflix queue of yours (here are the best new movies on Netflix to watch this month), while cooped up in your bed with a nice glass of red.
