Back in April, Delta announced strict guidelines concerning mask wearing on board and it seems like not everyone has been following through with the rules. In fact, the company's CEO, Ed Bastian, reportedly sent a memo to all employees letting them know that a total of 460 people have been added to the airline's no-fly list since April for refusing to wear masks during flights.

"Wearing a mask is among the simplest and most effective actions we can take to reduce transmission [of COVID-19], which is why Delta has long required them for our customers and our people," Bastian wrote in the internal memo, according to ABC News. "As of this week, we’ve added 460 people to our no-fly list for refusing to comply with our mask requirement."
The requirement to don face coverings on board isn't the only safety policy put in place by the airline. Delta passengers are given sanitizing wipes on board and the air crafts are cleaned using electrostatic sprayers before each trip. Delta also happens to be one of two major U.S. airlines committed to blocking middle seats on each plane until, at least, the end of 2020 (Alaskan Airlines will do so until January 6, 2021). Seats within Delta terminals are also still being blocked off in an effort to enforce social distancing measures.
Clearly, the airline's staff is doing its part to try and quell the spread of a global pandemic that doesn't show many signs of slowing down. It's now our job—the passengers—to help out in any way we can. That is all to say: wear those face masks, people.
