The only thing more delicious than a freshly prepared order of French fries is getting your hands on it for free. And McDonald's is here to make our dreams come true, at least through June 28.

The fast food giant is jumping on the free fare bandwagon by bringing back its "Free Fries on Fry Day" promotion: patrons will get a medium order of fries with any $1 purchase. Although some of the chain's locations around the country have begun opening up, social distancing norms still apply so, to redeem the offer, you'll have to place an order through McDonald's Mobile Order & Pay app after 11am weekly.

The offer will be valid every single Friday through June 28—that would be seven weekly servings of fries completely gratis starting today. Talk about good news.

The chain isn't the only one currently offering free or very cheap tasty goodies. At least through May, Burger King is giving out eight chicken nuggets for a dollar, Chuck E Cheese debuted a $5 and a $3 menu for takeout and delivery, Carvel is offering a buy-one-get-one-free sundae promotion every Wednesday, Edible Arrangements has temporarily eliminated fees for same-day delivery and, at Krispy Kreme, order a dozen original glazed donuts and receive a second dozen for free every Saturday. Yummy.
