The ‘Sterling Point’ house is on Airbnb, so you can officially come to the cottage (again)

If you watched Sterling Point and found yourself thinking, “I, too, would like to inherit a mysterious Canadian island and live in that gorgeous cottage,” your oddly specific dream is about to come true. Sort of.

The real-life Gordon Bay Cottage—the Muskoka-set property used as the exterior of Gordon’s cottage in Prime Video’s hit series—is officially coming to Airbnb this fall. Fans will have the chance to request one of just three special stays at the five-bedroom lakeside property, with bookings opening September 15 at 9am ET for $130 a night. The available stays run October 2–5, October 9–12 and October 16–19.

There is, however, one important detail for anyone hoping to recreate Annie Jacobson’s summer: The interior of the house is not what's on your screen.

The exterior of Gordon Bay Cottage is instantly recognizable, with its cedar-shingled gables, wraparound porch, stone steps leading down toward the lake and a dock lined with Muskoka chairs. But everything in the house on Sterling Point was filmed on a soundstage in Toronto. 

The historic cottage dates back to 1902, when it opened as a summer hotel. Today, the property offers all the ingredients for a classic Muskoka getaway: a private dock, an 800-square-foot screened porch, a firepit and opportunities to swim, kayak, canoe and paddleboard. The lake is also an excellent place to watch the sunset before the famously clear Muskoka skies turn stargazing into an evening activity.

The sudden availability of Gordon Bay Cottage comes as Muskoka is having a serious pop-culture moment. The region has also appeared in Heated Rivalry and the upcoming adaptation of Every Summer After, and Airbnb says searches from outside Canada for Muskoka stays through November 2026 are up nearly 110 percent year over year.

And unlike Annie, you don't have to wait for a mysterious grandfather to die and leave you an island.

Just set an alarm for September 15. The cottage is available through a special Airbnb sweepstakes, so snagging one of those three stays may prove almost as difficult as not bingeing an entire Prime Video series in one sitting.
