If you're looking for a relatively out-of-the-ordinary holiday activity, you might perhaps consider spending some time with real-life reindeer in the town of Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Now through January 17, 2021, new local destination The Reindeer Farm is welcoming guests to pet the animals and learn more about them while enjoying the farm as a whole. Expect food trucks, crafting time and an indoor playground to keep you pretty occupied.
"The Reindeer Farm, nestled on our small family farm in Bowling Green, is your new holiday tradition," reads the destination's official website. "Come experience the magic of Christmas and meet our live reindeer."
Patrons can opt for a $12 general admission ticket that will grant access to the barn, the gift shop, the playground, the corn hole and a slew of holiday-themed games. Alternatively, a one-hour private tour will cost a family $150 in total. The latter option will allow you to actually walk into the reindeers' enclosure and walk around with them, feed them and "maybe even bottle feed our calf, MooDolf."
In addition to baby bull calf MooDolf, get ready to fall in love with 3-year-old cow Holiday—who, according to the farm's website "likes to go for long walks in the snow, enjoys cooking and loves meeting all of Santa's good little boys and girls—" and 2-year-old bull Blitzen. Apparently, he is "super sweet."
We dare you to find a more suiting and sweet family-friendly activity this holiday season.
