As previously reported, all Toys "R" Us stores across the country are closing. We'll join the chorus of cries from adults whose childhoods weren't marked by iPads and Minecraft but, rather, by physical, they-can-be-touched toys that can now be purchased on Amazon.
Those of you who have been holding onto gift cards to purchase the latest toy in the seemingly endless abyss of playthings offered at Toys "R" Us throughout the years are probably scrambling to make a purchase right now... but you might not have to.
Bed Bath and Beyond has partnered with CardCash to allow customers to exchange both Toys "R" Us and Babies "R" Us gift cards for Bed Bath & Beyond and buybuy Baby eGift cards of lesser value.
This is what we call the silver lining.
You can determine the value of your new gift card by plugging in the amount of credit you currently have with Toys "R" Us on this site. The rate of exchange is determined by different factors but, as of now, a $100 Toys "R" Us gift card will score you $64.20 in credit at Bed Bath & Beyond. Once you move ahead with the trade, your new gift card will be mailed to your home within a single business day.
Take note, though: You only have until tomorrow, Thursday, to make the exchange. Hurry up!
