Vancouver is obviously a food destination, but your “must try” list is about to get out of hand.

As reported by Daily Hive, 11 highly anticipated restaurants are opening soon in and around Vancouver, and the lineup is delightfully all over the place.

First up, Yaletown is getting Bevel, a 140-seat restaurant with a bar-centred dining room, all-season patio and New York-style pizza made with dough chef Christiansen has been working on for more than three years.

Fraserhood is getting a little Portuguese soul with Maria Celeste, a 36-seat tasca opening from brothers Justin and Cristian Isidro. “Tascas were always about more than what was on the table,” Justin told Daily Hive. “They were about the community and being a welcoming place for everyone.”

Also coming soon: Emeri Matcha Bar is turning its culty pop-up energy into a permanent Main Street home, Ramen Danbo is adding another noodle destination on Main Street, and Les Faux Bourgeois is getting a new chapter under Gaia House, the team behind Selene Aegean Bistro, AMA and Nammos Estiatorio.

Beyond Vancouver proper, Blaze Gourmet Burgers is bringing melty cheeseburger chaos to Port Moody, Macu Tea is opening in Burquitlam, and Ông Bà Vietnamese Eatery is returning with a bigger Coquitlam location, complete with more tables, a full bar and an expanded menu.

Downtown, French Creek Pub is taking over the former Burgoo space on Burrard with Vancouver Island pub energy, while Gastown’s Entrecôte Restaurant will be keeping things beautifully simple with salad, steak frites and dessert.

And yes, Eggslut has Vancouver in its sights, though the exact location and opening date are still under wraps.

Translation? Come hungry. Vancouver’s summer restaurant calendar is stacked.
