Time Out Group today announced that it has secured one of Europe's most prestigious hospitality locations through a long-term partnership with The Crown Estate. The agreement will see Time Out open its global flagship Time Out Market at the landmark 10 Piccadilly development (55 Regent Street) in the summer of 2028, bringing the globally recognised Time Out Market concept home to London.

Located at the gateway to Regent Street and Piccadilly Circus, the flagship will occupy one of Europe's highest-footfall destinations, attracting approximately 74 million annual visitors across Regent Street. This provides an exceptional platform for hospitality, culture, sponsorship, live events and experiential retail, reinforcing Time Out Market London's position as the global flagship of the Time Out Market portfolio.

By the time the London Market opens, it is expected to be the 18th or 19th Time Out Market worldwide, marking a defining milestone in the Company's evolution from London's trusted guide into one of the world's leading media and hospitality brands.

Since launching the first Time Out Market in Lisbon in 2014, the concept has expanded across four continents, now operating 13 Markets that welcome more than 12 million visitors annually and showcase 300+ chef-led kitchens, restaurants and bars. London represents the next chapter of a globally proven hospitality platform.

Occupying a prominent position at the intersection of Regent Street, Piccadilly and Piccadilly Circus, the iconic building stands at the heart of London’s West End, one of the world's most recognisable retail and cultural destinations. The Market will span more than 26,400 sq ft across three floors and feature a carefully curated collection of London's chefs, restaurateurs, bars, food businesses and cultural experiences.

Founded in London in 1968, Time Out has spent nearly six decades helping millions of people discover the very best of the capital. Inspired by that editorial heritage which now reaches 280 million people per month, Time Out Market has grown into one of the world's leading food and cultural market brands. Now, for the first time, the concept is coming home, with London welcoming the global flagship of the Time Out Market portfolio.

Chris Ohlund, CEO of Time Out Group plc, said:

"Securing this partnership with The Crown Estate to create our global flagship in the heart of Piccadilly Circus is one of the most significant milestones in Time Out's nearly 60-year history. Bringing the globally recognised Time Out Market concept home to London is both a celebration of where we began and a statement of where we are going.

“London is one of the world's greatest cities for food and culture, and there is no better location than Piccadilly Circus to showcase everything that makes it extraordinary. Together with The Crown Estate, we are creating a destination that will celebrate London's best chefs, restaurateurs, artists and creators while welcoming millions of Londoners and visitors every year.”

“As our global flagship, Time Out Market London will also become the blueprint for the next generation of Time Out Markets, bringing together hospitality, culture, media, sponsorship and live experiences in a way that only Time Out can deliver."

Charles Owen, Head of Regent Street at The Crown Estate, said:

“We’re proud to welcome the UK's first Time Out Market to Regent Street as the brand’s global flagship. It is a significant addition to one of the world's most recognised retail and lifestyle destinations. It reflects the area's continued appeal to innovative international brands and demonstrates our long-term commitment to investing in Regent Street, curating a diverse mix of experiences that attract visitors, workers and residents alike.

“Set within this carefully restored historic building, Time Out Market will introduce an exciting new food and drink destination in the heart of London's West End. As significant investment and development continue to take shape across the area, it will further strengthen Regent Street's hospitality offer, helping to drive footfall, broaden the destination's appeal and meet growing demand from the millions of people who visit, live and work here each year.”

More than just a food destination, Time Out Market London will reflect the diversity, creativity and energy that define the capital. Alongside its culinary offering, Time Out Market London will host live music, performances, talks, exhibitions and other cultural events throughout the year. It will create a destination where Londoners and visitors can eat, drink, discover and connect, while providing a platform for the capital's chefs, musicians, performers and artists.

As with Time Out Markets around the world, the London Market will be amplified by Time Out's Media business through editorial, social media, video, podcasts, newsletters, events and commercial campaigns, inspiring millions of Londoners and visitors to experience everything it has to offer.

Since launching the first Time Out Market in Lisbon in 2014, the concept has expanded across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia, with Markets in cities including New York, Barcelona, Dubai, Cape Town, Osaka, Bahrain, Porto, Budapest, Montreal and Vancouver. Every Time Out Market is editorially curated, bringing together the best food, drink and culture of its city in a single destination, carefully selected by Time Out's local editorial team.

Developed in partnership with The Crown Estate, the project will also incorporate sustainability principles throughout its design and operation, including energy-efficient building systems, initiatives to reduce food waste and an emphasis on local sourcing wherever possible, supporting London's hospitality ecosystem and the continued evolution of the West End.

Further details, including the opening date, culinary line-up and cultural programme, will be announced closer to launch.
