Let there be Bees on Earth!

The Wylde Center, in partnership with the Oakhurst Neighborhood Association, will be holding its annual Earth Day Festival on Sunday, April 24, 2016, 12-4 p.m. at both Harmony Park and the Oakhurst Garden at the corner of Oakview and South McDonough, Decatur. This bee-themed celebration of Earth Day is a fun and festive way for more than 400 members of the community to join the bee ranks in protecting our natural world on the 46th Anniversary of Earth Day. At the Wylde Center’s EARTH DAY: BEE WYLDE! PARTY, we will have an exciting array of events planned for children, youth and adults and include, for example:

Costume Parade
Earth-friendly bike ride
FREE Arts & Crafts for kids
Scavenger hunt for kids.
Various bee-oriented demonstrations.
LIVE Music by No Komment and Carlos Danger!
Announcement of our Special Earth Day T-shirt contest winner
Refreshments for sale by local restaurants
Lots of Fun for the Kids
Kids will enjoy arts & crafts, scavenger hunts, and parade performers.
