Our featured artist this month is spoken word artist Dichotomy.

Here's his bio:

Dichotomy wrote, produced, and released his first studio album, “The Evolution of Dichotomy” in 2010. He currently hosts the poetry open mic night every 3rd Sunday, at Apache Cafe, in Atlanta. In 2011, Dichotomy hosted Sounds, Thoughts, Ideas and Rhymes, also known as S.T.I.R. alongside entertainment veteran, Malcolm Jamal Warner. He has repeatedly shared his work on stage at “The Art of Performing”, an annual event in Montreal, Canada. He has appeared on Atlanta’s V103 and Conscious Groove on WXRP BlogSpot radio. Dichotomy was commissioned by the P.U.S.H. Coalition to perform for the Rainbow Push Gala in celebration of Rev. Jesse Jackson’s 70th birthday.Hosted the Inaugural South Florida Youth Summit where he shared a stage with community activist, Jeff Johnson and The National Black Child Development Institute’s 41st Annual Conference. Dichotomy also earned the coveted 01 Soul Food Poetry Caf People’s Choice Award. Vincent “Dichotomy” Hockett In early 2012, Dichotomy became a very involved sponsor of the Verbal Expressions Youth Poetry Club and a consistent volunteer with Hank Stewart's Youth Foundation.
