Thursday, February 26 is ANNIE SELLICK’s birthday and she’s coming back to the Attic to celebrate with you and her fiercely talented friends in the HOT CLUB OF NASHVILLE! ANNIE SELLICK & THE HOT CLUB is always a super high energy romp through mid-20th century jazz, as they bounce from swing classics to Latin standards to Western swing and gypsy jazz, with a few musical surprises along the way. Back in Atlanta by popular demand after selling out shows across the US, this Hot Club is one of the hottest gypsy swing bands in the county, bringing fiery guitar and violin soloing on sexy hits from the 1930's and 40's (“Honeysuckle Rose”, “Sweet Georgia Brown”) and a host of great new gypsy swing numbers by Nashville genius Tom Sturdevant. Stacked with studio pros and associates of Chet Atkins, Alison Krauss, Madeleine Peyroux, etc, a set from The Hot Club of Nashville is like hanging out at party with the some of the best musicians anywhere! The Hot Club is composed of lead fingerpicker RICHARD SMITH, rhythm guitarist and harmonica player PAT BERGESON (Annie’s husband), fiddle player AARON TILL, standup bassist CHARLIE CHADWICK Charlie Chadwick and drummer JOSH HUNT. Each musician is a master of his instrument and it’s joyfully obvious that they have a blast playing together. This Hot Club is so incredibly synchronized with each other, that whenever they trade licks or share impressive runs, the whole audience can’t help but go whoop, holler and burst into spontaneous applause!
