This 5 week course is for everyone. Whether you are a longtime practitioner of meditation or a total beginner, this course is designed to lay the groundwork and foundation for a meditation practice that is both practical and fulfilling. Each class will include both teachings and practice time with the group. Many people have expressed: "I can't meditate. I just can't clear my mind". or "My mind just won't stop". Meditation is not about clearing the mind. Meditation is about learning how to practically focus your attention, so that you can masterfully direct your mind the way YOU want as opposed to your mind directing you. It is easy to learn to focus your attention, and there are fantastic, easy to learn, time tested practical tools to do so. A consistent meditation practice will improve your health, mood, focus, motivation, sleep, energy level, and mental capacity. During the 5 Weeks of the Course we will discuss: -Meditation myths and truths -Different types of meditation -Specific useful practices -The role of breath -The role of light physical warm-ups -Ways to easily incorporate meditation practice into daily modern routines Class Begins Wednesday February 4th, 7pm-8pm Total class cost = $70 for non-members, $65 for members.
