Beyond The Ballot: Civic Engagement For Y Ps says
Developing Tomorrow's Leaders! Beyond the Ballot seeks to enrich the civic and political awareness and involvement of ULGA-YP members. This inaugural event is an integral part of the ULGA-YP mission to facilitate civic empowerment and political engagement. As we enter this pivotal local and national election year, we hope to encourage our members to educate themselves and get involved in the political process with the advice and guidance of young local political, civic and community leaders.

With it's "How To" theme, the dialogue will answer questions such as "how to support political candidates by joining a campaign", "how to run for office with little to no political experience" and "how to engage and hold local legislators accountable". The event will feature community and political leaders including Chairman 5th Congressional District of the Democratic Party of Georgia TJ Copeland, APS Board of Education Chairman Courtney English, State Rep. Park Cannon, Past President of Atlanta Young Republicans Christopher Sanders, Union City Councilwoman Shayla Nealy and more! You don't want to miss this powerful and educational event.
