Lyn Deardorff is the Owner/Creator of The Learning Kitchen at Preserving Now, where she teaches the “lost arts” of canning and preserving food. She'll be at the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market on Thursday May 18th sharing her knowledge, tastings of seasonal preserves and explaining the ease, fun, and equipment needed for home canning. Stop by to learn how to preserve seasonal favorites like Strawberry Jam, Vidalia Onion Relish or Pickled Cherry Tomatoes and more!

Lyn has been canning for over forty years and teaching preserving for more than 7 years. She has taken advanced coursework at UGA and earned a certificate in Better Processing, enabling her to create and sell artisan organic foods at The Learning Kitchen. She has also earned her Master Food Preserver Certificate from Cornell University Extension Service in New York.
