Sunday, March 15, 2015 Bowery Presents: CATFISH AND THE BOTTLEMEN Doors 7 / Show 8 / All Ages $10/Adv, $12/Day Of Show Vinyl at Center Stage Communion Records is set to release U.K. breakout band Catfish and The Bottlemen’s debut LP The Balcony on January 6 in the U.S. The single “Kathleen” recently reached #1 on Sirius XM’s Alt Nation and is also charting in the top 40 on Alternative Radio Charts. To celebrate the release, the band will return stateside to tour throughout the winter. Full tour routing details below. Additionally, Billboard is premiering a video of frontman Van McCann discussing the making of The Balcony alongside performance footage from a recent performance in New York City. The LP follows a year of extensive touring for the young Welsh rockers. They played to massive crowds at over 30 festivals including Reading and Leeds, Latitude, Ibiza Rocks, Austin City Limits, Governors Ball and Life is Beautiful. The Balcony was produced by Jim Abbiss (Arctic Monkeys, Adele) and includes tracks off the band’s acclaimed EP Kathleen and the Other Three as well as new, never-before recorded songs. The full-length was released earlier this year in the U.K. and Europe and charted in the top 10 on the official U.K. albums chart. Of the LP, McCann (lead vocals, guitar) says (insert quote). Catfish and the Bottlemen are McCann, Johnny Bond (lead guitar), Benji Blakeway (bass) and Bob Hall (drums). Hailing from North Wales, the band signed to Communion records in 2013 and made a splash onto the London music scene soon after, playing over 100 shows in 2014 alone.
