8:00 :: Chuck Henderson

“Chuck is best described as a traveling minstrel; bringing his guitar and harmonica from town to town, his music is elegantly simple and his ballads will touch your heart.” – Ed Ponopkin, Grey Eagle Tavern & Music Hall, Black Mountain, NC

“Music that is heavily influenced by the likes of Woody Guthrie & Pete Seeger…quite a crowd pleaser.” – Mountain X-Press, Asheville, NC

“He performs wherever music is allowed, telling stories through the songs he writes, in milieu as varied as street corners, coffee houses, campuses, and sanctuaries.” – San Francisco Free Folk Festival

9:00 :: Celia McDermott & Mike Cerra

According to her parents, Celia McDermott could sing before she could talk. She grew up singing barbershop harmonies from the age of 5 with her family’s quartet. After studying jazz arranging and vocals at Berklee College of Music, she has performed locally in the Atlanta area for years in many groups, spanning the bridge between jazz, acoustic, gospel, and rock. She served as a choir director at Transfiguration in Marietta, and spent ten years directing Cheaper Than Therapy, an a cappella group. A highlight of her career was having the honor of singing solos for several years with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s gospel choir.

Mike Cerra has been playing since the Ed Sullivan Show changed his life. An ex-southern boogie bar band rock’n roller gone acoustic, Mike was a student of Pete Huttlinger. Among his list of credits is playing and performing original solo instrumental pieces at Jorma Kaukonen’s Fur Peace Ranch. He plays multiple stringed instruments and performs locally when time allows.
