Join us again this month at Jock and Jill's for our March meeting! We will be hosting Jim Jess of the Georgia Tea Party. We hope to see you there! ----- Jim Jess is a founding board member of the Georgia Tea Party, Vice Chairman of Georgia Tea Party and President of the Foundation for Constitutional Education, which was established in 1985. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Mass Communication from Miami University (Ohio). While at Miami, he worked with two other students to organize the campus for the College Republicans, building the largest College Republican club in the state with more than 150 members. After his junior year, he was elected Chairman of the Ohio College Republicans and served for a year in that position. Jim worked in the office of Gov. Sonny Perdue during Perdue’s first term. Currently, he is an Assistant Editor for GEORGIA Magazine, the largest monthly circulation magazine in the state. His first year at the magazine, he began writing a column on the Constitution called “Liberty Notes.” In 2014, 38 of his columns were published in a booklet entitled, “Liberty Notes on the Bill of Rights.” Jim has been an activist, writer and leader in the conservative movement for more than 35 years. He and his wife, Jean, live in East Cobb and have two grown daughters.
