Community Care Meetup says
We are centrally concerned about how to meet the needs, facilitate resources, and connect to build community regarding marginalized and vulnerable communities. This includes people of color, LGBT identifying people, immigrants, and people with disabilities. We want to hold space for you in healing, and also provide resources regarding community care and self care.

We are very aware that the election results have contributed to an increase in anxiety and fear among these folks, so we are holding this event in solidarity and for the purpose of healing and community building.

This is NOT a rally. It does not represent any political organization. The event is not outside, but it may be cold, so please try to wear warm clothing. This event is open to everyone, but we will facilitate conversations that are centered around addressing the emotional and material needs of marginalized communities.

Space at Murmur is limited. We have a timeline below of scheduled events (this may change slightly in the coming days as this is still in progress), so you may come and go as you please to what interests you, or you are welcome to stay the entire time.

See you Sunday!

12:00 - 12:30 meditation

12:30 - 1:00 speaking

1:00 - 2:00 holding space for emotional care, grief, anxiety

2:00 - 3:00 guided group discussion regarding community/self care

Parking can be found on MLK, Mitchell, and South Broad. Street parking is free on Sundays. There is a LAZ parking lot directly next to Murmur. Five Points MARTA station is two blocks North.
