Theater in Asylum, with the NYC chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, is creating theatrical adaptations of the Democratic Primary Debates. With a small army of actors, designers, dramaturgs, and support staff, we are watching each debate, analyzing its content, devising an original piece around it, and presenting it live in NYC. With mimicry, abstraction, and earnest curiosity, we seek to illuminate the candidates, their policies, and their characters. This iterating process will lead to a compilation performance in April.
