Southeast Fiber Arts Alliance says
Learn to print on fabric using leaves, flowers, and other botanical materials. This one-day workshop will cover how to bundle and wrap your fabric and plant materials so that your prints come out clearly and with maximum color, how color shifting occurs in the dye bath, how to use mordants to set your colors, and how different fabrics and techniques affect the resulting color. You'll make three bundles, including one full length silk scarf!

Vicki Bennett is a fiber artist living most of the year in Asheville, NC but pending winters in St. Petersburg, FL. In addition to her own creative work, Vicki teaches both 3-dimensional sculptural felt and nuno felt as well as natural dyeing, with particular emphasis on botanical printing on fiber. Between a large dye garden and the flora of Western North Carolina, she loves to “print nature.” Vicki teaches at John C Campbell, Arrowmont, Southeast Animal Fiber Fair and numerous other venues in the Southeast. She also exhibits and sells her craft at Florida Craftsmen Gallery in St. Petersburg.
