Time Out says
We’re learning all about sustainability at MODA with our current exhibition, Sustainable Shelter: Dwelling within the Forces of Nature. On Saturday, March 21, we’re combining two things we love into a single event — a field trip to a cool places and a hands-on design activity.
Our friends at the Lifecycle Building Center (LBC), a not-for-profit organization that diverts usable building materials from landfills toward opportunities for reuse and empowers homeowners to implement energy-saving, sustainable solutions, will give us a tour of their 70,000 sq. ft. facility. Afterwards, they’ll guide us through a pallet building workshop in which we’ll build indoor and outdoor planting boxes in celebration of the first day of spring.
The workshop will last approximately 3 hours and lunch will be provided. The Lifecycle Building Center is located at 1116 Murphy Ave SE, Atlanta, GA 30310.
Schedule:
10 am-10:15 am Meet at Lifecycle Building Center, grab some coffee, and get to know your fellow participants
10:15 -11:00 Tour of the LBC facility
