The Bowery Presents: Fifth on the Floor Matt Woods Friday February 6 Masquerade: Purgatory 7pm Doors // $10 ADV Tix: http://bit.ly/FOTF-ATL Twitter: @fifthonthefloor @realmattwoods Fifth on the Floor - http://www.fifthonthefloor.com/ Fifth on the Floor is a rock n roll band. Born in the heart of Kentucky, FOTF has torn up shows all over the country. Their recent album Ashes & Angels (produced by Shooter Jennings) made its way onto the Billboard Country charts, a rarity for a record without Auto-Tune or a truck song(s). The band has toured with Shooter Jennings, Unknown Hinson, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, and fellow hellraisers Hellbound Glory, and has shared the stage with The Marshall Tucker Band, Wanda Jackson, Lucero, and more. Their songs are an effort in American Music, owing equally to blues and country, good times and bad times, whiskey and wine. Matt Woods - http://therealmattwoods.com/ Matt Woods is an outlaw country and southern roots songwriter from Knoxville, Tennessee who spends a hell of a lot of time on the road, playing his songs for anyone who cares to listen. "Some folks call what I do Americana, but I have a hard time putting a label on things like that. A lot of my songs are very much based in classic country music while others are grounded in straight forward and greasy rock’n’roll,” Woods explains. “I write what is ready to come out and try to be as honest as I can about it." Along the way, Matt has shared the stage with the likes of Chris Knight, Black Oak Arkansas, Roger Alan Wade, Zac Brown, Drivin' n' Cryin', Will Hoge, Roger Clyne (of The Refreshments), CAKE, Mic Harrison (of the V-Roys and Superdrag), and many others, not to mention a seemingly never-ending list of talented independent artists who aren't getting the widespread respect they deserve from points around the globe.
