Center for Civil and Human Rights says
Hear from the activists on the front line of the battle for indigenous peoples' basic human rights!

In celebration of Indigenous Peoples Heritage Month, we invite you to join the Center for Civil and Human Rights as we hear from activists, leaders, and legal advocates about the fight for native rights.

Moderated by Dr. Jace Weaver, director of the Institute of Native American Studies at the University of Georgia, we will hear from Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient, Dr. Suzan Shown Harjo and her relentless efforts towards advancing Indigenous peoples rights. Joining us from Navajo Native, elder Grandmother Grace Smith Yellowhammer, will provide insight on the frontlines of the battle for clean water and the Dakota Access Pipeline. Finally, hear from Cherokee Native and singer-song writer, Billy Sparks as we explore his countless roles as an advocate for Indigenous Rights.
